Expect moderate walking, uneven ground and steps at some archaeological sites. Please share any mobility requirements in advance so suitable arrangements can be discussed.

What to Bring

Choose breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, a light layer for evenings and swimwear for Hurghada. Carry some local currency for personal purchases and gratuities.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Cairo

On arrival at Cairo International Airport, meet the local representative for assistance and your transfer to the hotel. Take time to settle in before enjoying an evening dinner cruise on the Nile. Admire the illuminated city skyline while dining on board, with live entertainment that may include traditional Tanoura dancing.

DAY 02  - The Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum

Discover the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, and stand before the Great Sphinx. Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum to explore extraordinary collections and gain a deeper appreciation of ancient Egyptian civilization. Your guide and the exact museum route will be confirmed with your selected package.

DAY 03  - Cairo’s Heritage & Journey South

Explore the Egyptian Museum and the atmospheric lanes of Khan el-Khalili, where traditional shops and historic streets reveal another side of Cairo. Continue onward toward Aswan using the transport arrangement specified in your confirmed booking. The sequence of visits may be adjusted to flight schedules.

DAY 04  - Aswan & Philae Temple

Experience the relaxed character of Aswan and visit Philae Temple, beautifully set on an island and dedicated to the goddess Isis. Board your Nile cruise according to the confirmed sailing schedule, and enjoy your first moments on the river.

DAY 05  - A Day Along the Nile

Enjoy the changing scenery of the Nile as your cruise continues toward Luxor. The specific sailing route, temple visits and stopping points depend on the vessel and departure date; these will be detailed in the final cruise program. Spend time on deck taking in the riverside landscapes.

DAY 06  - Luxor’s West Bank

Cross to Luxor’s West Bank to discover the Valley of the Kings, burial place of many New Kingdom pharaohs. Continue to the impressive mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, set against dramatic limestone cliffs. Your guide will help bring the monuments and their stories into focus.

DAY 07  -   Luxor’s Temples & The Red Sea

Explore the monumental Karnak Temple complex and Luxor Temple, two remarkable landmarks of ancient Thebes. Afterwards, travel by road to Hurghada, where the pace slows and the Red Sea awaits. Check in and enjoy time at leisure.

DAY 08  - Hurghada & Farewell

Enjoy a relaxed final morning by the Red Sea, depending on your departure schedule. Optional marine activities may be arranged separately. At the appropriate time, transfer for your onward departure according to the confirmed travel arrangements.
